A Spring 2012 Men's Jewelry Trends Update

At Van Scoy Diamonds, we're in complete support of the gallant garden of new growth in the Spring garden of men's fashion jewelry. In clever anticipation of the warm months that await us this Spring, men's jewelry trends have heated up in preparation. Blooming trends that have been spotted with warm welcomes include the return of sporting a  classic men's rope chain necklace, a bold move into fashion rings, increased desire for wedding bands with diamonds (we don't blame you!) and matte black finishing seen on men's jewelry.

The flat black finish has been an increasingly acclaimed look in men's bracelets and rings, maintaining a masculine quality while allowing gentlemen room for accessory. Memorable looks from the men's collections seen during New Yorks Fashion Week last fall included pieces of flat black jewelry, making its way to the catwalk on men's watches and fashion rings. Less lavender, light yellow and pastel 'I'm manly enough for pink' style should be expected in the months that await us. This season, men are amping up the bling with dark hued accessories with a more subtle approach to exceptional style.

There has also been a recent surge in the amount of men's wedding bands with diamonds! One in five grooms are choosing wedding bands with channeled diamonds, which is a strong increase from the near-absence of this stone leading the bridal fashion (groom fashion?) just two years ago. Alternative metals, two-toned color choices and other options for men's wedding bands had them almost forgetting the centerpiece for most wedding jewelry. Now, we are seeing more men sporting engagement rings, in addition to vocalizing their own desire for a few drops of crystallized carbon in their wedding bands. Go Men!
