Wearing a glamorous gown that featured a mother of pearl reminiscent shimmer and asymmetrical nude stripes by Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad, accented with colorless diamond drop earrings by Lorraine Schwartz, Jennifer Lopez was a sheer vision at the Oscars. Literally. The Latino star who has frequented the Red Carpet with daring plunging necklines in the past caused quite a stir when there was (or was not, as her publicist insists) a small, yet significant wardrobe malfunction early in Sunday nights broadcast of the 84th annual Academy Awards in Los Angeles.

Next to co-star in “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” and stylish celebrity, Cameron Diaz, it appeared to viewers that the sheer gown had slipped a bit on the left side, exposing more that Lopez had intended. The controversy continues online and both sides are standing strong.

“The dress fit perfectly to her every inch,” Mariel Haenn tweeted on Monday.

“There were cups built in and there's no chance that there were any, how do you say? 'slips.'" reports Alexandra Gratereaux from Fox News Latino.
